All we ask from you is to create an inventory of all your belongings so we can check to make sure we don’t miss anything on packing and unpacking. Even if you can’t afford using our full-service packing/unpacking option, we’ll work with you to pack specific rooms or areas that are challenging. After you have signed the moving contract, we’ll get everything in place for you. If you need a certification of insurance for your buildings, our moving specialists will send them over to building management and set up any necessary elevator/freight entrance schedules to make sure we don’t run into any snags the day of the move. We’ll also find the appropriate crew for your move. A few days before moving day, we’ll reach out to you to let you know the time frame the movers will arrive at your current home to load your belongings. On moving day, you can easily track your move as all of our trucks are equipped with GPS. Our crew will always contact you if there are any delays due to traffic or inclement weather. If they haven’t gotten in touch, you can call our customer service line to see where they are or to ask for the foreman’s number so you can talk to them directly. Once they have arrived at your new home, always make sure that you have all your items by checking your inventory. If possible, check on the fragile items first to make sure they aren’t damaged. If they are, make sure to let us know as soon as possible! Once everything checks out, sign the bill of lading and make the final payment. Don’t forget to tip the movers for their hard work!
